Right Sized

I was told as a kid to never think of myself as above anyone.
Later I spent years in therapy trying to sort out
why I believed I was less than everyone.
Humility, for me, means that I am right sized and I don’t need you
to sort out my ego’s woes of either being too big for myself or not enough of myself.
I am flawed and I am amazing; I am honest and I lie; I am awake but I try to deny it.
I am all I need, and
I need your help – more than anything, I need you.
